Alf & Scooter are a team, they grew up together and must stay together. Both have been moved into permanent foster care because they are over 4 and their chances of being adopted are not favorable. Although all ferrets here are treated as personal pets and are allowed to roam freely day and night in their play areas, these two need extra love and attention which is difficult to provide when there are so many ferrets.

Scooter is a 4 year old light sable who found it extremely difficult to adapt to life without his mom. After about 3 weeks and ulcer medication, he began to eat and slowly gain his weight back. His eyes still show sadness which is why he and Alf have been moved to a very special foster home where they will get all the love and attention they need. Please think good thoughts for these sweet boys and cross your fingers that Scooter someday learns to love life again.

This is one of our recent rescues, Lucky. So named because we feel he is lucky to be alive after what he has gone through. It's still touch and go but if he decides it's time for the Rainbow Bridge, he will know what it's like to be loved and cared for. Every night he is wrapped in a blanket and cuddled while he eats his bowl of chicken gravy.
